French toast oatmeal
This was delicious!
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup milk
dash of cinnamon
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 egg
1 tsp maple syrup
1/2 cup frozen berries
Put oats, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract on the stove on simmer until half the water is gone and the oats have thickened. Mix an egg, mixing continuously. Let simmer a couple more minutes. Then put in bowl and add maple syrup and thawed berries (I put them on defrost for 2 minutes then nuke them for 10 seconds so they're a little warm).
Obviously, you can totally change some things.
Macros with 2% milk (and 10g of maple syrup) - 436 calories, 56g carbs, 13g fat, 21g protein. And I'm full.

Did the egg lump up?0

That sounds awesome. Love oatmeal and French toast so putting them together is genius! I'd put more maple syrup though. I like things sweet, plus I'm from Canada. We love out maple syrup! :P0

Did the egg lump up?
Nope you can't even tell it's there, except it makes the whole thing creamer/fluffier.0 -
hmm sounds good
do you think it would reheat well, so if I made it the night before I could have for breakfast?0 -
Yum!! That does sound amazing. I will definitely have to try this.0

Probably? I'd probably add fruit (if you want some) and syrup the next day though. But I've never reheated oatmeal, to be honest.0 -

could you use almond milk instead of regular milk?0

Don't see why not, I haven't tried though.0

I made this for BF today!
Shocked the egg made it so creamy!! I used the 30cal almond milk (which never makes anything have a smooth/creamy texture) and it was perfect
I so wish I had TRUE maple syrup (had to use a lite pancake syrup I had) but the whole dish was very tasty and FILLING!!
thanks for posting!0 -
Glad you liked it!0
