So confused on how many calories..

So I'm completely confused with the bmr calculator and the calories mfp gives you? on bmr calculators it says 1640.95 but mfp says 1200?? When I did the bmr calculator it didn't ask for activity level or anything? What's better to go by when inputting food here on mfp?

What does everyone use as a baseline for how many calories each day, mfp amount or your bmr cal?

    MFP is giving you 1200 based on your weekly weight loss goals and activity levels...

    Let me guess you put 2lbs a week....

    Enter in a reasonable weight loss goal such as 1lb (based on your 22lb to go) and log exercise calories and eat 50-75% of those back.

    BMR is what your body would need to survive at total sedentary...you can eat under it that isn't the issue...

    I used what MFP gave me for a 1lb a week and my exercise calories back which totaled on average 1600.
