That icky baby belly

Just so frustrating! I have that icky baby belly... the stretch marks, the lose skin, it goes over my swim suit, it makes me have to suck in when I wear a slim fitting dress. The other day my six year old says, "no wonder you have to go to the gym!" and actually pulls on it! YIKES...
I had hernia surgery as well..and at that time I could have had a mini tummy tuck at the same time (Dr. suggested it) but the recovery would have been longer then my husband was home on leave from Iraq..so I couldn't be recovering with three little ones to watch by myself... oh well.
I feel good about myself.. and I don't really obsess about it. Some woman vow to be proud of their "battle wounds" well Im not that woman.. I mean I wouldn't give up my kids for even the PERFECT body...
but every now and then I just cringe a bit..

I have the same issue. I will definitely be looking into tummy tucks when I lose all of my weight. Even when I get to my goal weight, I still want to feel good about myself. And all these stretch marks and loose skin doesnt make me feel good, or even confidant. Im only 20 years young and I don't want to have to be done wearing bikinis because of the icky baby belly.

    I'm in the same boat!!
I figured with losing 60 lbs it would start to look a tad bit better. I mean my belly is smaller than it was 60 lbs ago, but still.

&& it's not so much even the stretch marks for me it's just the lose skin and the butt front I happen to have :/ I love my little man more than life itself, but I honestly wish I could have been one of the girls who's stomach was un-harmed during pregnancy!!

Sucks only being 21 and having to deal with it.. can't wear tight shirts with my jeans because I hate how it comes over my pants.

I honestly, don't know If I'll ever be happy with that part of my body. I'm almost to goal and it stills effects me :/

same here it sucks but after dealing with it for 9 years I'm coming to just accept it although if I could fix it with a tummy tuck I would in a heart beat but it's just way to expensive :(

If I ever have choose to have kids I'm totally scheduling a c-section followed by a tummy tuck. One surgery = ½ recovery time, LOL!

    * I am aware that cesarean isn't preferred, I'll look into the facts in a few years If I plan on trying then so no need to bash my idea.

Look around for a good doctor and time that your husband can care for the kids and go get that much deserved tummy tuck. After you remove the excess skin and re-attach the abdominal wall you'll become even more fit at the gym.

It’s so very obvious Monica Grey (bf to Chalene from Turbo Jam/Fire etc) had a tummy tuck after her triplets and because of it she was able to work out to get her 6 pack back and not worry about loose skin and torn muscle lining.

    Go for it!

    can you DO that?! lol

i had an emergency c section and it was hard enough dealing with recovery and taking care of a newborn [alone mind you, i split from my sons dad during pregnancy!]

i will DEF have a tummy tuck in the future. just not sure if i'm done having children, i figure by the time i'm 30 i'll know for sure but i'm young now and ya never know what'll happen.

I didn't know that was an option either! lol The scheduling of a c-section before medically necessary *and* having plastic surgery immediately following? But 'money talks', I suppose. I had my 2 children vaginally, both great experiences, & quick recovery. When/if you do become pregnant in the future, your focus will shift.

I have the "KANGA", as I like to call it  It has decreased substantially of course, no dramatic over-hang, but definitely an excess skin pouch. Like you all said, it's the price I paid for beautiful babies, but one hard pill to swallow!! If I had the financial flexibility, I would totally get a little suck n' tuck ;)
