Heart Rate Monitor

UGH...somehow I've misplaced the sensor to my HRM. I'll try looking for it one last time before I give and purchase a new one). Any ideas on one that isn't too pricey? I have the Polor FT4 right now, buy it won't do me any good if I can't find the sensor to go with the strap.
Since MFP either rates the calories burnt too high or too lowe, a HRM is the best bet. I'm just starting this journing (for the 20th time) but am trying to focus on this and not what's gone wrong before. Currently, I am doing boot camp classes Saturday mornings, and the gym 2 days a week (1 hour: 30 min cardio and 30 min strenght training). I'm currently tracking all food eaten to get an idea of what I'm putting into my body, soon I wil begin to eat lighter foods (more protein, veggies, and whole grains).
Thanks in advance for your time and feedback.

Did you try Amazon? That's where I got my FT4 from and I think I paid around $60 for it.0

Did you check the polar website to see if you could get a replacement sensor?0

@ Troutsy: I have looked on Amazon, that is where I got the FT4 from. Maybe I'm thinking too much, but I get overwhelmed with all of the options out there and I start to wonder if the FT4 is the best fit for what I'm doing now and where I want to go. Thoughts?
@ SJ46: I did look on the Polar website for a replacement sensor. They sell it with the strap but it cost about $55.00-$65.00, which is pretty close to the amount that I paid for it on Amazon.
Thank you both for taking the time to reply.0 -

I think the FT4 is one of the more basic (someone correct me if I'm wrong) HRMs you can get. I like it. It does everything I need it to do. I follow the TDEE -20% method, so I don't eat back my calories from exercise anyway.0 -
I bought my FT4 on heartratemonitors.com. Paid $60.0

Why is MFP too high or low? How do you know your HRM isn't too high or low.
Use this as an opportunity to stop worrying about it. Websites and free phone apps are equally as accurate. HRM's are not really all that accurate.
Not to disagree, but I'm going to disagree. MFP and the machines are notorious for over estimating calorie burns. HRM will give a more realistic calorie burn for consistent cardio activity.0
