Okay so Im currently 123 pounds and 5 ft 6 inches tall. I am a college student and walk to college everyday which is a 20 minute walk everyday. This is four days a week or sometimes five days a week. When I come back home I do some Jillian Michales dvds.Body revolution ,extreme shed and shred and Hard Body whoxh are around 30 minutes long includes cardio and muscle work. On fridays i work as a waitress and help out my uncle at his restaurant for 4 hour. On Saturday and Sunday I work also for ten hours. I excersise using Jillian Michael dvdss and add a ten minute or less random.cardio or ab workout from youtube six days a week. What should I put on MFP sedentary , lightly active , or moderate active. Oh yea the dvds are so:-(me hard intense workouts just trying to recalculate my calories. Do you think ill lose 1.5 pounds a week if I eat 1400.calories if i do the.above excersise plans?

Welcome!

With all of that you are not sedentary.

Congratulations on reaching six distinct threads asking the same damned questions while ignoring all attempts to provide guidance.

If you're calculating in your exercise into that, I wouldn't say sedentary OR lightly active.

Sedentary is basically bed-ridden. OR, you go to work, sit at a desk ALL day, come home and lay on the couch until you go to bed. No cooking, cleaning, etc.

1400 seems awfully low for that activity level.

Lightly active but you have to enter your exercise separately.

I disagree though that sedentary is bed ridden - you're still pretty much sedentary if you walk less than 5000 steps a day.

First things first - why are you aiming to be underweight? At 123, you're already at the low end of the normal range for your height. If you're not happy with the way your body looks, you may want to look into changing body compositon (toning up), not losing more weight.

To answer your question, I would think you're at least lightly active to cover your walks and waitressing and should log all of your workouts in the exercise diary and eat back at least half of the calories earned.

What are you hoping to get to? At 123 and 5ft 6inches you are well within healthy and bordering on underweight, I am shorter and heavier than you and I am only aiming for about 120-125lbs.

That's not true. I think you're confusing that with BMR, which is basically the same as bed ridden. Sedentary is about 20% more calories than BMR. Here's a good description another member posted recently:

    Sedentary
    Sleeping - 8 hours
Personal care (dressing, showering) - 1 hour
    Eating - 1 hour
    Cooking - 1 hour
Sitting (office work, selling produce, tending shop) - 8 hours
    Driving car to/from work - 1 hour
General household work - 1 hour
Light leisure activities (watching TV, chatting) - 3 hours

Agreed, you should be more concerned about body fat % than weight.

The OP clearly has or is on the verge of an eating disorder, she doesn't eat enough, is aiming for an unhealthy weight and repeatedly posts threads asking the same questions but doesn't actually take any of the advice given to her on board. OP, just go and see your doctor.

The OP started eight threads since January 23rd (four in the past 24 hours) with the same basic theme and has ignored the advice given in all of them. She claims to eat 1200 calories (gross) per day while exercising ... lost her period ... feels cold all the time ... yet insists on driving her weight into the underweight BMI range with a 1-1.5 lb per week goal. Until she realizes that she is risking permanent damage from her unhealthy behaviors, there is nothing we can do.
