What Exercises Can I Do With A Leg Injury?

I hurt my right hip and thigh muscle after a slip on stairs. After a few days rest pain vanished so I started my long walks and running routine again but pain recurred after 4 days. Now I have to take medicine to recover and rest for at least 1 week. I'm bit frustrated as I can't do any serious cardio. So what can I do for exercises now? I'm not able to do leg raise/stretching as well. Please suggest some alternative way!!!!

Listen to your body, allow it to heal. Focus on clean eating and try weight training instead of your usual cardio. If you really feel the need to incorporate cardio, take a leisurely walk or use the recumbant bike. Don't take a chance of causing a permanent injury.0

If you are able to maybe try and get in the pool, I know I have seen people who suffer an injury use this as a work out and get great results. Do what you can, let your body heal. good luck0

Sorry to hear about your leg injury. The best cardio workout occurs when you use your arms (near your heart) - not legs. I never really thought about that until it was recently explained by a fitness instructor. It makes a ton of sense. Move your arms - up high, to the side, down low, ect. Search the web for good upper body exercises. Also, like already mentioned, focus on healthy eating. Healthy foods can truly guide you to a faster recovery.
Finally, get some much needed rest for your leg.0 -
Thank you all. I would not hurry to heal this time. Looked up for some good upper body exercises.0
