I'm around 174 (it keeps fluctuating) and my hopes are to be around 125-135 eventually. But the number on the scale doesn't really matter to me if I feel like I look good and healthy and feel that way too. Feel free to add me as well0

Hi, I'm 5ft 5" as well, I weigh as of this morning 159.4 and really really want to get to 120, I lost over 5 stone 2 years ago, then stalled sorting parents being ill etc, and have gained 10 lbs so I'm on process now to lose the ten pounds and carry on with my weight loss, to get to the 120 that I want to be.
As I was losing weight last time around, because I was 215 lbs when I started, friends and family kept saying, 'oh you have lost enough, you look slim enough' and all that, and you end up believing them, so this time, I will carry on until I hit the 120!!
Good luck with your weight loss journey,0 -
Me too! 5'3" 170 - I have my 25 year high school reunion in August - really want to look good for it!! Add me!!0

Hi, I'm very new to myfitnesspal,.. this is my 4th day! I'm 29 years old, 5'4", and my starting weight was 169; my eventual goal is 140. My current goal is to lose 15 pounds and then evaluate the process and pursue another 15 pound weight loss. I turn 30 in October and am dedicated to reaching 140 by then! Open to making connections and interested in keeping others motivated and having others to keep me accountable.0

Anyway who wants to be my friend and would like extra support, request away!0 -
Hi, I'm that same range. I'm 44 years old and approx 5'6
Current weight 168.8
Goal by May 10: 150.2 (part of contest I'm in)
Goal by June 10: 144 (contest final goal)
Ultimately....not really hung up on a particular number, other than winning my contests (and $$ - through dietbetter.com). I feel like I'll know it when I see it - when I look good, and feel strong and healthy. At one point in my life, that was at around 130 lbs, but that was 17 years ago, and things have "shifted" after 3 kids, so we'll see. Honestly if I make that 144 I'm going to be absolutely thrilled. I mean WHEN I make that 144. :-)0 -
I want to let you know that you are not alone. when I first started my fitness journey over a year ago, I felt so alone. I didn't have anyone at home encouraging me to go to the gym or to eat better, so I knew if I was going to make a change I was going to have to be very strong because I felt so alone. Then I found a fitness group on facebook that literally changed my life. the people in this fitness group encouraged me, motivated me, and inspired me to keep pushing through to eat better and to get my daily workouts done. When I was down they lifted me up, when I had some small progress they congratulated me and they NOTICED me, I was no longer alone! If it weren't for that group I would have quit like the 100 times I had before in the past. These strangers have now become great friends and supporters of my goals and dream. I wanted to pay it forward as I knew there were more people out there just like me who needed that extra support and motivation. so I started my own fitness group. if what I just described about feeling alone sounds like you, I can help you to not feel alone anymore! I'd love to help you reach your goals. I've have learned a lot over the past year in my own fitness journey, and I'd love to help you. let me know. :-) Have a blessed day!0

Another post to encourage those of you who are just getting started. I'm 5'4", 48 yrs old, and started in January at 171lb. The first milestone I set myself was to reach 145lb by Easter, and I hit that a few days ago. (Hooray!) My next goal is 130lb by the start of August, and then I'll see how I feel.
So it's totally achievable - I've been a lazy couch potato all my life, but have not felt hungry at all, and have discovered a real pleasure in weight training and being more active. If I can do it, and not find it a chore or a burden, even enjoy the process, then so can you. Be patient yet determined, eat well but not too much, take every chance you can to be active, and you will get where you want to be.
Good luck!0 -
