I started calorie counting (again) three days ago. I have done this before and lost a good amount of weight in even just 1 month. But honestly, I love food. It is my addiction. I am 5'3" female and weigh 210lbs. I am a stay at home mom of three (4yrs, 7yrs, 9yrs). I love to bake and the kids love mommy to bake. I love to eat and I eat large portions. I realize this isn't good, especially since I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am 27 years old now.

I just ordered a product that I am sure most of you won't agree with. It's called Matrix Fat Magnet. I've read reviews and there seems to be good feedback (along with some not so good). There was a 30 day money back guarantee... along with the $19.99 shipping/handling charge. LOL. I made sure the lady knew I wasn't stupid and that they would be making money off of these pills even if I called in a month and asked for a refund. They guarantee 7-10lbs in one week or 20-30lbs in one month or you get your money back. I asked about warnings and there are none (I was concerned about my blood pressure). In fact, the ingredients in this products (all natural) are actually supposed to be good for cholesterol. I figure that it can't really hurt to try it.

I would love to hear from others, who have tried this. I am guessing the reviews from people on this group may not be great (considering they are calorie counting). But I'd still like to hear if anyone has tried the Matrix Fat Magnet. I'd like to get down in weight and then continue calorie counting to maintain it.

Thanks for your help!

If you want to eat chitosan, it's widely available in wine making shops in bulk. It's for fining (clearing) wines.
Don't know if I'd eat it though...
Probably is going to give you nasty leaks like Alli.

I've been using chitosan for several years. It is a marine fiber (it comes from shellfish, so don't use if you're allergic), and if you eat it before meals it's supposed to give a feeling of fullness and also act the way other fibers do. I use it to promote digestive regularity and choesterol/fat absorbtion. I've never had any "alli" type symptoms with it. You might end up losing a couple of pounds from using it, but certainly not the losses guaranteed by the advertisers. You can get it cheaply through any vitamin company. I use Puritan's Pride and can get 3 bottles for the price you spent on one Matrix Fat Magnet..

So you had success without it, but you stopped doing what made you successful and gained weight back. Are you going to take the pills forever? If not you'll probably just gain the weight back again.

Stop giving up and stop looking for an easier way. When you find something you will stick to long term you will reach your goal.

This is going to go well....

Honestly, the only thing this product will make lighter is your wallet. I wish I could save people the time, energy, money and disappointment that pursuing these products takes and replace it with some faith in themselves. YOU alone have the power to change your life, your weight, whatever you want and once you recognize & embrace that as truth you won't need these useless crutches.

Please believe in yourself. Humans are capable of great things; if we just get out of our own way. Good luck to you on your journey. It can be done!

I just want you to understand that dietary fat is actually pretty important to our bodies and many metabolic functions. The ingredient list includes several natural diuretics and laxatives. You may very well lose up to 10 pounds in the first week, but it's going to be water and poop.
