Extreme lack of self control

Ok, so for some reason I have horrible self control when it comes to eating. I will log everything in the morning pretty much stick to it all day. The second I get home I go to town on candy, or chips, or whatever! Then before dinner I am like 300 over my limit for the day. Also I have yet to start my workouts cause I am to lazy to get up in the morning before work. I am not trying to use this to complain but more so for any helpful hints you all might have to curb all my snacking I want to do. I try to bring healthy snacks to work but I still fall prey to the candy. My diary is open if you all wanna look at what I am eating. And please only positive comments. I do realize it is all in my own power to change this but I am just finding it hard.

    It helps me to not have candy/chips/random snack foods around the house. If it's not here, I can't eat it.

    I'm super lazy, so I won't make a run to the store to buy anything. I will instead sit at home and be grumpy and hungry. But... I'm not binging on Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos and sour cream (my weakness!) Eventually when I get grumpy enough I'll make a damn salad because all I have is lettuce, broccoli, and salad dressing so it will have to do.

    Pretty much: you can't eat candy if it isn't there.

    1. Examine the reason why you snack on candy when you get home. Stressed from busy day at work? Bored? Or, are you hungry? If you're actually hungry, try a small-healthy snack before heading home to curb the cravings once home. If bored or stressed, exercise instead. Or find something else to distract you from eating candy.

    2. If you're not getting up in the morning to workout, work out in the evenings. Commit to at least 15 minutes and make yourself do it. If you relax in the evening by watching TV or something, don't allow yourself to "relax" until you've gotten some exercise in. :)

    3. Consider keeping candy and other tempting splurge foods out of the house until you can manage them in proper portions.

    4. Approach this like any other problem. Try different ideas until you find the solution that works for you.

    Get that crap out of your cupboard. Buy healthy alternatives. Go to town and feel good (or better) about it.

    On the way home eat a healthy snack so once in the door you don't indulge in those horrible foods.

    Some helpful advice was already mentioned,

    Besides, what are your stats? Your height, your weight, what do you eat?
    Because I noticed that when my kcal deficit was too extreme, this happened to me as well. My body was rebelling because I wasn't eating enough. When I upped my kcal intake in general, it was better :)

    This. Also, don't eat anything you don't buy yourself (there are donuts at my work most days; I just don't eat them).

    Also, changing your diet is difficult for the first few days, and then is much easier. The less you cheat, the less difficulty you'll have.

    Finally, not everyone has the self-discipline to be fit. Only you can decide whether you do or not. (I also can't wake up early to workout, so I do it the second I get home, or will stop at the gym on my way home from work.)

    Well, I used to be at 1200 and that was hard I upped it to 1400. I am Between 5'3 and 5'4 and I am 177lbs. As far as what I eat, its a variety. You can look at my diary if you want or add me to see.

    Food diary...that's what started me on the fitness path. If you can't use MFP every time you eat get a small paper journal. Just record what you eat and the quantities. Helps to set a small but achievable goal too...something to pat yourself on the back for and motivate you to keep it up.

    Try drinking a glass of water, or cup of herbal tea, before you have the snack. If you still want the snack afterwards, have it, but if you've filled up on water first, you probably won't want to eat as much.

    This will sound harsh, but "grow up." You can't do everything you want without consequences. This includes mindless eating and being too lazy (you said it) to work out.
