Workout Music

I listen to Pandora but getting tired of it, I would like to make a playlist...What are some of your favorite songs I might need to add to my list. Thanks

I recently downloaded the Spotify App and it is AMAZING! Free, has tons of pre-made playlists. Check it out.

Some songs I like are: "Hello" by Martin Soveig, "I love it" Icona Pop, "Rosana" by Wax, & "Yellow Shirt" by Kylie Marcus. iTunes has either running albums or "spring break" albums which have some fast paced music you can download.

    any preferred genre?

while most of what i listen to is technical metal (between the buried and me, periphery, meshuggah, anup sastry, the faceless, born of osiris, veil of maya), when i'm working out, i find that i need more consistency and 4:4 timing lol.

    hatebreed
    earth crisis
    strife
    acacia strain
    madball
    sick of it all

or some good hip-hop (mostly for running/cardio)
    method man
    redman
    wu tang
    jedi mind tricks
    army of the pharoahs
    eminem

I don't necessarily have specific songs I listen to. I do have a workout playlist on my ipod, but I don't always adhere to it. Some stuff I like to listen to:

    Deftones
    Daft Punk
    Alkaline Trio
    Junkie XL
    Aesop Rock
    Tool
    Filter
    Coheed and Cambria
    Jay Z

Going to go a little against the grain here, but being a dance head (as in the music, not the action ... no-one wants to see that!) I pull down Judge Jules' podcast each week and use that. New tunes each week, and free! :)

Edited because my post was somewhat muddled!

i highly recommend mixcloud. nothing but dj mixes in every category you can think of. there is an app for ios and android.

be sure to check out some of my mixes while you're there www.mixcloud.com/djnyce

another alternative is soundcloud which i love and am on as well. soundcloud has more 'songs' than mixes, but they autoplay so you'll get a variety. another shameless plug...www.soundcloud.com/djnyce

I like loud, fast, house music. I downloaded the Fratmusic app on my phone and stream their (ad free) playlists when I workout. They always pump up the jams lol.

I go for anything with a lively beat or lyrics that give me the feels. Some of my favs:

    - Most Godsmack, mostly "Greed", "Black Magic", "Love-Hate-Sex-Pain" as examples.
    - Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, etc but there's a low chance you'd want those
    - Marilyn Manson, his songs with beats like "Beautiful People" and "this is Halloween"
    - Hollywood Undead has some pretty nice beats
    - Avenge Sevenfold
    - Eminem as long as it's not one of the slower songs

Depends, I guess. For a while I was listening to a lot of dance/techno/electronic/house stuff. They've got the beat to keep you going. Some of the stuff I go to for that....
Tune Up! (they have some ****ty ones, though. I stick with Ravers Fantasy, Colors of the Rainbow, Dance Dance, Another Day, Basstest, Feel Fine, Bounce, and/or Can U Feel the Vibe)
    Daft Punk
    Deadmau5...
and some random stuff, like the Wake Me Up Danceboy remix, Sparkle and Shine (Throttle Mix), Bittersweet Symphony (Jumpstyle), Keep On Moving (FNP remix), Ready or Not (Hard3eat remix), I'll Do You like a Truck, Good Stuff (Dan Winter Remix), The Alphabeat, Asphalt (Mononofrog), and also some stuff from various Blade soundtracks. :P Oh, and a bunch of Breathe Carolina remixes (there is apparently no way to ruin 'Blackout').

Also, I have a 'run' playlist on my iTunes (erm, not because I run, but because sometimes you have the feeling you really, really want to). I was planning on going through it at some point to find which beats were the best for actual running, but haven't gotten to it yet. So instead of writing out the horribly long list, I've made a youtube playlist. Feel free to check it out; there's a bit of something for everyone. (^_^)

Mmmm yeah they do. Street Dreams, Levitate, Sell Your Soul.....

Can't suggest working out to 'A Little Piece of Heaven,' but it is my personal second fave song of all time, and the music video is *messed*.
