I had that happen to me the other day while I was working out. I stopped my work out and got some water and a tablespoon of peanut butter, just was not to certain if my sugar was low or if I was dehydrated at any rate I felt better and got back to my work out.0

I'm working on my water today..on most days its good..12-16 cups a day.0
-
It's probably low blood sugar.0

drink a cup of orange juice or apple juice. Sometimes happens if I work out on a too empty stomach. If it's not exercise related (meaning you're not working out when it happens) be sure you are not dehydrated in general. Eat a little more today and drink plenty. And if it keeps up reevaluate your diary (and if it gets worse consider a doctor's opinion).0

I usually go way over on my sugar..how can it be low?0

I agree. The suggestions for orange juice is good. Or you can try milk or fruit. Anything with some good, natural, complex sugars.0 -

Your blood sugar isn't necessarily related to how much sugar you eat in a day. It has to do with the complex sugars you're taking in, how often you're eating (e.g. how long it's been since you last ate), and your metabolism.0 -
I was feeling like this a few days ago too,
Maybe it's a bug going around? Since quite a few people that stated that their feeling like this,.... Just a thought :P It's probably your blood sugar though
Like others said, try having some orange juice, or some fruit ^^ That should help!

Hun, you consumed 1290 calories today, you also burned off 519 walking.... 1290 - 519 = 771! No wonder you are feeling shaky! Remember you have to fuel your body. Reclaim some of those exercise calories. Eat some protein, have a glass of chocolate milk or an apple with peanutbutter, cottage cheese and peaches, a couple hand fulls of nuts....something.0

Intake of sugar makes blood sugars go up quickly, then an hour later you come crashing down if you dont have other foods to carry you thru. Another possible reason for dizziness... anemia. I sometimes get dizzy during my time of the month.0

I think someone else mentioned this one: CARBS!!!!
I've noticed sometimes when I'm not hungry, I'll be shaking & light-headed; I eat something like a bit of rice,a potato (preferably sweet potato, but I'll settle for plain or just some simple potato chips), bread (I have Celiac's so it's gluten free bread but still hi-starch/carbs), or even corn (fresh corn or corn chips), I am better.
My Dad was hypoglycemic, he'd get so bad my Mum would have to make him an entire pot of rice, he'd eat it & then be OK (he was also allergic to refined sugar & sugar in ripe fruits & veggies). Apparently I'm heading the same way - not much of a "sugar" eater anymore, I eat more protein & complex carbs & I look better, feel better & have less "episodes" :flowerforyou:0 -
Try a glass of milk. It's got sugar and protein, which you don't really seem to be getting a lot of in your diet (protein, that is).0

Pretty sure like everyone else says, blood sugar. From your food sources such as carbs and such. General rule of thumb try to eat and hour to thirty mins before a workout.0
-
Sounds like low blood sugar.Do you go long periods between eating. Also if you work out and don`t consume enough calories, that could account for it.0
-
I go about 3 hours in between..2 snacks in between. im making a baked potato..have some cheese, some bacon bits and sour cream..its late but i know it will help.0
-
That sounds great! if it's a small potato, cals are pretty low. If it's a bigger potato, just eat half & put the other half in the fridge for tomorrow (or later if you're still in bad shape!) :flowerforyou:0
-
I might eat the whole thing..potato is medium sized. I tend to not eat things when i save them (except veggies when i put them in containers)0

haha, this is why I know I'm bad. When I get the low blood sugar swing (I call it a swing because it feels like my head is sitting on a swing and gliding back and forth, up and down and if I let it go below my heart, WHOA!) I head right for chocolate. Not much, just about 100 calories worth, but it does the trick. So does orange juice, but it doesnt distract me for the couple of minutes it takes for the food to do the magic.0

Hi there - I'm not seeing a lot of iron in there hun - do you eat lots of dark green veg/red meat etc. I know I always get dizzy if I've not had enough iron.0
-
You are definitely eating enough because you got 1600 calories in yesterday. My MFP is set at 1200 and I usually get 1100-1350 to make sure I am eating enough and I don't feel like that! Are you sure you aren't getting sick maybe? Or it could be coffee? Stress??? Lack of sleep? I know last year when I was REALLY stressed at my job and getting a max of 4 hours of sleep per night if that, I was dizzy ALL THE TIME!0
-
When that happens to me nothing will make me feel better except eating some meat. I call it my "protein shakes"
If it continues you should see a doc and find out if something is really out of whack.0
