Completely Let Myself Go

So I wanted to buy some work pants today; after realizing that mine were getting a little tight. Once again, I found myself buying the next size up... size 46 waist. Weighed myself and I weighed in at 301 lbs. I couldn't believe it. I do tech support so 1/3 of my day is spent sitting in a cubicle. Then I go home and sit on the couch. Then I go lay in bed. There's a pattern here...
In addition to that my diet pretty much consists of pasta and delivered pizza. I'm married and since my wife is unemployed she's offered to do the cooking, but it's usually whatever can be microwaved (hint: if it's microwaved, it's likely not healthy). We've broken that habit this week (though I can't say our choices would be considered healthy) and hopefully we will be keeping it up.
Long story short I just cannot believe what I've let happen to myself. Tomorrow (and for some of you, today) I will be signing up for a weight loss program through a local clinic starting a regular exercise program. Looking forward to the new, healthier me.
Any tips are welcome for someone looking to lose half their body weight.

its never too late to start..
Zig Ziglar once said - You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great..
do it slowly, gradually...but consistent.
increase your water intake (plain water of course), start moving..
the easiest exercise for me is by walking..just keep walking0 -
Ask at work if there is a possibility of getting a standing desk with a tall chair so you can alternate between sitting and standing. Walk on at least one of your breaks. Keep a large water bottle with you and use it. Add in one serving of fresh or frozen veg a day. Never give up! You will have bad days. You will mess up. Deal with it. Keep moving forward! You got this!0
