I need advice on an inexpensive HRM that I can wear will I work out. I have one that a friend gave me and there is no place to enter age wieght or anything like that, so I wory about how accurate it is.

I also am having a lot of foot pain.. I have a few issues with my right foot.:grumble: :grumble: :grumble: Plantar Faciatis(not sure on sp), heel spur, and they think that I tore someting in the bottom of my foot this summer. I also have been told that I roll in when I walk...I forget what it is called. I have Asics wiht the extra arch support currently with custom fitted insoles. I run, do interval classes, step, and kickboxing. Would appreciate ANY advice.

Thanks Much

Sounds like your shoes may be worn down. I swear by New Balance, they hold up really well! I know a lot of foot doctor's and pedorthists (not a doc, but a specialist) reccomend them as well. Get them from a speciality store, not Wal Mart or somewhere like that. NBs will help with rolling in as they're built sturdy enough to support.

Also, get fitted for prescription orthotics instead of insoles. Orthotics are custom molded to you feet and crafted for YOUR specific needs down to every last 1/2 millimeter!

If you do a search on here about HRM I'm sure there are some great suggestions out there. As far as shoes, try to pick a store that specilaizes in analyzing your stride. It will make all the difference.

I prefer Brooks myself but everyone is different.

    Best wishes

Go to a foot doctor. I had terrible pain for a long time. I walked 5 miles a day and I got to the point my feet were killing me. Went to dr. and I had heal spurs. Wound up getting surgeyr in April and when I was able to walk again I told them my feet were still killing me. He asked if I was wearing my orthotics and I told him no. Well I promised I would wear them for a month and I kept my promise and I have had no problems at all. I'm able to walk everyday and I'm at the gym doing all the classes. I wish you luck.
