...look at my butt!

No, seriously, it's starting to become a problem. That and my quads. (I squat, brah)

I tried on my shorts from last summer last night. I weigh less than I did then and in most clothes I actually wear a smaller size than I did then...

But none of my dang shorts fit because of my behind and my quads.

So, ladies, what brands of shorts give a little more give there?

    i don't wear shorts.

I wear fitted capris exercise pants.

    and skirts.

I wear slacks for work with a belt- but no shorts. So I can only help so much.

squat booty is totally an issue.

Apparently Levi's makes a good fit- shrug- i pretty much don't wear jeans any more- to much of a hassel- all things stretchy.

You go girl haha! I def do not want to lose my big booty, and in fact I would like it to get a bit bigger with workouts, with weight loss I'm sure it will come down some but I want to try to maintain it for sure. big booties rock! haha And I love shorts <3. lol.. and of course a good pair of yoga pants LOL

for just running around in the summer? get basic gym shorts. but for work pants? go up a size and get thee to a tailor. it's worth the money to have them fit.

I'm jelly - I want squat butt! I've recently just (finally) moved to real weighted squats, so perhaps in a few months I'll get there?

No idea where you should go to shop...I'm finally, completely out of plus sizes, so I gotta find new places!

I'm more worried about jean shorts. These are a staple of my summer wardrobe!

This is my problem too. I already have big legs anyway but squatting makes it worse. Someone suggested Banana Republic, I haven't found that to be true yet. If you figure it out JP, let me know!!

heh- I haven't owned a pair of jean shorts since I was like 5.

You can work around it if you want ;)

I'm not a fan of jean shorts. Gap short shorts give lots of room, as do Old Navy shorts. I tend to wear the ones that are slightly more A-lined because of the extra room for round booty.

I get the "sweetheart" line from old navy, but i'm sure other "curvy" oriented lines would work. It's bigger in the butt, so it helps with the squat booty.

    eta: can't spell...*fridaybrain*

Ahhhh sorry I was distracted for awhile.

    Here is a possible solution:

Take last summers jean shorts, put them on, slit the outside seam of each leg till they fit with comfort and send us the results and we will let you know our opinion.

Note: You may have to do this multiple times for us to get true and honest perceptions.

(Edited because ...well it seem kinda crude)

I've had luck with target, but one of my friends just informed me that they got rid of their "curvy" SO SAD! If you find some, let me know, I've got a lot of (muscular) junk in my trunk.

I got nothin. I gave up on shorts. Once I get my butt to fit in there, the waist is down-right indecent. You can see straight down them.

I do the same as JaRocka. Capri leggings + skirts.

I took my old levi's and unstitched the sides, all the way up to the waistband, and then sewed in a piece of funky fabric in a upside down V shape, same on both sides and they look really retro-funky-cute. I can't post a pic of them on here, but if you want to send me a message I could email you a pic of them…
I also am a fan of the sweetheart fit at Old Navy. Hope you find something!!!

I just got a pair of low rise tan colored short shorts there that fit the booty nicely.

This sounds SUPER cute! I would definitely put some leather panels in there.

A friend of mine complained about how jeans fit the female figure. I think she said she found a brand called "lucky" something or other. You might try looking for that. I don't know where she got them but she seemed very pleased with them. They are full pairs of jeans so you will have to handle the cut off part with a pair of scissors. Good luck.

I've been drooling over making shorts like this:

I will totally add a panel of funky fabric in the side!!

    Check out CocaBang @ http://tgifits.com/home/

I can't find the shorts on there right now, but I made a donation to help fund them through kickstarter and got a couple of pairs of their jeans. I have not had jeans fit my legs and butt and waist this well since before I started heavy lifting years ago. They are (much) pricier, but great quality and I compare every jean I try on to them.

The shorts are probably due to be released soon.
