The role of water in weight loss

Another article debunking the myth of the role of water. I am inclined to agree with the writer. I've always included all liquids - tea and coffee especially - as 'water' in my logging.

I think some people mistake thirst for hunger so they eat, when in actual fact a glass of water could have satisfied them. Of course water doesn't help you lose weight, but if you are reducing mindless snacking by keeping hydrated then it will certainly assist in reducing overall intake. At least that's how I always understood it...0

I've never relied on water for weight loss, but most people are in fact walking around in a constant state of mild dehydration, which has it's own effects on health and wellness. I drink an average of 100 oz of water/fluid daily to keep my body hydrated.0
