Whoa, that's a lot of coffee. Probably too much, unless you're drinking decaf. I'd maybe work on cutting back slowly. Just cut back one mug at a time, or switch to smaller cups instead of mugs for a while, until you get back to a more reasonable amount. Too much caffeine isn't good for you.

What is your daily fat allowance? You obviously should not be crowding out your calories with milk, but milk fat isn't exactly bad, and dietary fat goals are a floor on intake not a ceiling. Find a balance. Of course, I tend to drink massive amounts of black coffee.

Err how much milk are you having? Full fat milk if you had 50ml of milk (which is a lot) thats around 300 calories. So yes it's a lot and it will take it out of your food. My guess though is you have your calories set to 1200 which is why it has such an effect. Set your weightloss slower to give yourself more calories while you try and lower your calorie intake from the milk. i really wouldn't worry about going over the fat macro at present

10 cups!!!??? Dang, I thought my old habit of four cups per day was bad.

Lol, I'm just kidding. We all have our vices. Try using skim-milk? Maybe switch 3 of those cups for plain tea instead (caffeine with no calories!)

I used to drink A LOT of coffee - now down to about 4 or 5 cups per day (that's not mugs but cups). Increasing my water intake helped but sometimes when I want a coffee in the evening I have tea instead (I love a cup of tea with a tsp of honey)

Also I drink mine black no sugar so the calories are the issue for me sorry :ohwell:

edit: a tablespoon of 18% cream has 30 calories - how about measuring it and cutting it by half?

Maybe MFP was cutting into coffee-drinking time?

Actually, unless she has issues with insomnia or one of a few rare arrhythmia conditions there is no reason to believe her coffee/caffein consumption itself, even 10 cups a day, would be harmful. There is no scientific support that coffee or caffein are harmful for people who consume those in large amounts regularly. If she just started drinking coffee and was consuming 10 cups she might feel hyper, but that would be about it. Most studies actually show that regular coffee drinking and caffein have a range of health benefits and most of those studies do not show much of a benefit until greater than 5 cups a day. People tend to equate caffein as being bad, but that turns out to be largely guilt by association with sugary drinks or too many calories from cream/milk put into coffee.

My recommendation is she learn to drink her coffee black as it is a far better drink option than most other beverages, with the exception of course of water and some teas.
