Yes! My giant person sized dog likes to lie down on my yoga mat. It's really cute, but super frustrating sometimes.

My 85# Shar Pei/Lab mix thinks it is play time. He nips at my legs. If I do jumping jacks.... he bites my butt!!! Needless to say I have to lock him out of my room!!!

I call my cat my manager - she has to be right by me - whatever I'm doing. If I'm on my treadmill - she's right beside me. If I'm on my bike - she's right by my feet. The best is when I do weights - she 'helps'. When I'm doing push-ups she crawls under me - when I'm doing weighted lunges she likes to pounce on me. Doesn't make me angry - I think it's funny - she's so darn cute I can't get mad at her!

The moment I put down my yoga mat, both of my cats are on it. If I try to shoo them away, they howl like I'm murdering them. Little *kitten*.

Anyone else suffer from animals trying to sabotage them?

When I'm rowing my Staffordshire Bull Terrier keeps trying to bite the strap as it passes, or tries to get his nose in under the seat..

My dogs tend to start fighting right in the space where I do turbo. Basically...if they get kicked or stepped on - it is their own fault.

I like going to the gym, but for the days when I super done in at work, I thought it would just be easier to work out at home through a youtube video....

Unfortunately I forgot about my bloomin' cats! They get completely in the way by:
    - running under me when I'm trying to do a plank
    - running through me when I'm doing jumping jacks
    - attempting to stand on me when I'm doing crunches

    ARGH! :explode:

Anyone else suffer from animals trying to sabotage them?

Please, if you land on them once or twice.. they will learn very quickly

My cat stakes out her territory on my yoga mat, and when I try to move her, she sits on my lap. The only thing that works is to scare her away with my exercise ball, but I feel so mean doing it.

    I feel your pain.

My one cat likes to sit/lay in front of my when I do Zumba, I think he must want me to accidentally step on him... The other sometimes will lay on the floor beside me and roll around, so she must think it's time to play, it almost seems like she's trying to participate in the workout. It's cute.

Agreed! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so this is my life. The dogs know that they usually get fed right after I'm done with my workout so they like to hover. My one pup (in photo) sits behind the elliptical and stares at me, then becomes a Mexican jumping bean the minute I hop off. She's gotten her head smacked a few times by the machine since she sits too close- dummy!

Yes one of my cats thinks it's funny to lay right next to me when I'm trying to do sit ups and my rottweiler likes to stand over me and look at me to check I'm ok, also throwing in the odd lick aimed at my face. My parrot doesn't mind sitting on my shoulder while I'm doing my walking in the house and chatting to me. Makes for interesting workouts most of the time.
  • i'm always super consious while i'm exercising do i don't step upon one of my cats { adrenaline is better than caffiene while working out } lol
but there are certain situations that they really join me as my oldest kne lukes to sit up on the treadmill yawing while am running & the cute little kitten likes to sit up on my butts while i'm taking the hamster position on my back by raising my legs behind my head :)) and when i play racket they all fight for the ball which i just wanna shoot it back against the wall :D
extremely entertaining but the irritating thing is cutting the exercise time bcuz of them
