Tattoo Ideas?

When I lose the weight I wish to lose, I sort of want to get a tattoo celebrating the changes I've made in my life and the transformation I underwent with a tattoo. The tattoo would also serve as sort of a reminder not to relapse and to stay healthy.

Has anyone done anything like this? If so, what kind of tattoo did you get? What are some good ideas for those kind of tattoos?

It's my plan too. When I get a flat tummy I'm going to get one.

I'd say you could keep it simple, it could either be the weight you lost or the date you made the change to a healthier lifestyle, or even the amount of time it took for you to get to where you want to be. It could be anything at all and just having it could be the reminder.

I would do something symbolic that represented a transformation as opposed to words, dates or numbers.

My daughter and I got matching tattoos -- a heart made from a treble and base clef, simple black. It's awesome. Plus it's great that my daughters wanted to permanently put something symbolic on all of our skins :)

I want the phrase "be wicked and lovely and don't live in fear" tattooed in elegant script, but I don't want it too big. The guy at Slave to the Needle I went to for the other tatt doesn't do things very small as he felt it wouldn't have good long-term integrity. So, I'm delaying for now, because, while the quote means a lot to me, I'm not sure I want something really big. One thing with ink...gotta be sure!

I would say any sort of symbol or icon that has meaning to you would be a great reward!
