Hi, what is the best time to exercise to burn the fat you have STORED in your body? If I eat my meal at 5, how long must I wait to exercise that will not only burn off my meal, but also fat that I have stored. I've heard that exercising in the morning is not good, this is why:
"Actually, exercising on a empty stomach is not good.
The theory behind this is that your blood sugar levels are low when you're in a fasted state (after going all night without eating) which targets more fat burning.
The problem is that some studies have shown that fat burning doesn't really start until you're 20 minutes into your cardio workout. That means you've wasted 20 minutes without a good source of fuel to sustain you. That could lead to fatigue before your body even starts metabolizing fat, which might mean shorter (and/or crappier) workouts in which you burn less calories than if you'd eaten a small snack to keep you going you. Critics also say you may even burn muscle if you don't have the necessary fuel for your workouts".

There's no time frame.0

Whenever you can fit it in! I do in the morning because it's the most quiet time I have. One of my friends runs at night. Just do what works best for you!0

also, how long does it take to burn the STORED fat you have when exercising, people say it's like 20 mins after you start burning the stored fat...0

I think you're over-thinking this. Just exercise!0

Don't overthink this.
Eat at a deficit. Move more.
There is no proper 'time' to get the most out of your workout. Your body burns fat based on a calorie deficit, not some bizarre magical time after eating.0 -
Sometimes I exercise early and in a fasted state. Sometimes I have a small snack before I run in the morning, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I have breakfast and then run or exercise around mid day. I have had no problem losing fat, inches and pounds with any of these situations.
Eat the right amount of cals for you & your activity level - between BMR and maintenance, not too much, but not too little either. Exercise when it works best for you and find things you like to do and will stick with. Drink water, take rest days, get good sleep. The weight will come off.0 -
oki doki, thank you, I take it's all a load of horse**** and a myth, cheers!0

All fat is stored in your body so it doesn't matter when you exercise. If you are ultimately in a caloric deficit, you will inevitably burn fat.0

Absolutely. Work out when it's best for you. Same goes for eating. As long as you're staying in a deficit you'll lose weight, no matter what time you eat0
