Dinner to meet my macros?

I like eating the same dinner consistently throughout the week. I was eating 100% whole wheat pasta with a store bought pasta sauce and chicken in it. I was advised against this, and told to switch it up and have a sweet potato or rice instead as a better option. My problem is that the rice is too plain. Wondering if anybody has information on this claim or if it's okay for me to have pasta every day? Any suggestions on other dishes that involve chicken?
For dinner I have left:
5g of fat
84g of carbs
35g of protein
The amount of pasta I was having was 63g of carbs and then I would normally have a rice cake or protein shake or something to meet any leftover macros. Thanks in advance!

That's what I thought! The girl I spoke to had went through a weight loss program and lost about 40lbs and I guess her personal trainer wouldn't allow her to eat pasta every day. I just wasn't sure about if I eat something every day would my body get used to it or something? If there's a better alternative I would obviously prefer it.0 -
In theory it fits your macros but there is the original "flexible eating" view of macros and the new "IIFYM" view. The latter often a less healthful view. IIFYM means you can live off junk and still cut/gain depending on your goals. However you end up missing out on the nutrition dense foods for micro-nutrients. Therefore, in time, you will feel like junk too. Even if you don't count micros, those count. If you are eating the pasta for just a week then switching to something else, I don't see the big deal. If you never change it up, you may be missing out on additional health benefits of other foods. There are different options. I happen to like spaghetti squash and quinoa. I don't even like pasta or rice any more. lol Basically, if you are going to eat pasta every night for weeks on end, just make sure the rest of the day has a good variety of foods and colors. You'll be just fine.0
