Saying HI...

My name is Lisa. I hail from Minnesota (not sure why...it's flippin' freezing up here) I've used MFP in the past, but never really stuck with it. I'm hoping to finally get things moving in the right direction again and my plan is to use these message boards as some added accountability. So here I am... saying HI.
I'm a 45 year old mother of 3 grown children and 1 cute grandchild. I have been really struggling over the past five years with trying to maintain/lose weight. I'm sure it's due to the infamous "change" that all of us women go through in our 40's and 50's, but I never thought it would be this hard. Geez. I'm am looking to lose about 25lbs.
I am an avid runner, spinner and all around "like to do cardio" kinda gal. I've recently UP'ed my strength training in an effort to get this scale moving, but I am still missing that piece that involves what goes IN the body. Really hoping to track everything here and get a feel for where my nutrition is at and what I may need to change given my new stage of life.
Looking for some support, accountability and camaraderie as I head down the healthier path...so happy to be here!! If any of you ladies have any insight into changes you've made to your diet/exercise in your 40's.. feel free to let me know. I'd appreciate all the tips I can get.

Welcome! I just joined and have about 20 pounds to lose, to start with anyways! I swear my change happened at 30, don't tell me it gets worse! Feel free to add me, and good luck with your journey!0

Its Day 1 for me! I joined a couple of years ago and never really got going but now I AM DETERMINED! Like yourself my body is approaching the 'age change' and I want to do everything I can to look and feel healthy. I have about 15 pounds to lose (to start with!) and could use some motivation now and then - feel free to add me and good luck! We can do this..0
