Can you hide your age from your profile?

    Just don't want my age showing, don't understand why it is shown, you should be able to keep it private, I've changed it to a random age.

    I a not 100% sure on this but I think MFP probably accounts for your age in calculating your calorie goal, at least I would think it would, so putting a random number might not be helpful.

    I'd think this is probably the case too. The average 18 year old is probably going to have a different cal need to the average 60 year old.

    Your age is one of the factors used in determining what your calorie goals should be. I required far more calories as a growing teen than I do as an almost 40 year old, even with as active as I am.

    ETA: you can make your entire profile private if you want....but I would advice against putting in some rando age.
