Carbonated doesn't count as your 8 glasses, the bubbles confuse your body and causes it to reject it

    Nope.

And no, carbonated water does not "confuse" your body. It's water. Just check the nutrition values for sodium and other minerals - some have them and some don't - and added sodium can be bad if you need to watch your intake.

Saturday marked one year without a soda for me. Since then I switched to carbonated water. I have 2-4 a day. During that time I have lost over 40 lbs. I don't know if it counts toward your 8 glasses or not. But I know it does not cause weight gain.

If its just H20 and C02 then the difference is minimal. If you're talking about things like Perrier and what not then the difference is huge.

Also drinking carbonated water with food will make you feel as though you're 5 months pregnant, or at least that's how it is for me haha.

Carbonated water is known as a bladder irritant according to my urologist, just so that you know should you have any underlying issues.

Carbonated water contains carbonic acid which may erode tooth enamel but can help with some digestive problems. I drink it sometimes and make it at home with a Sodastream.
