I see a lot on here about "macros". I see that it has to do with how much protein, carbs, fat, etc you intake? Is that correct?
What exactly are Macros?!
Thanks!

Yes,
That's correct.
Macros ---- Macronutrients
Protein: 4 calories/gram
Carbohydrates: 4 calories/gram
Fats: 9 calories/gram
Macro breakdown will vary from person to person, as will calorie levels due to energy needs and goals.
My macros are - 169 protein, 392 carbs, 84 fats at 3,000 calories currently.0 -

Thank you!
I tried a couple macro calculators online. Every one is giving me different information!
28 years old
Female
214lbs
5 ft 4in
I work a desk job but I work out 3-4 times a week
I have no idea what my BF% is
I'm looking for weight loss!
My TDEE has been coming up as 1885
My BMR is coming up as 1668
Can anyone determine my macros? It would be much appreciated!0 -
A good rule of thumb is to use the 40-30-30 rule with 40% of your calories coming from carbs, 30% from protein, and 30% from fat. Use LOLBro's stats to figure these out for your daily calorie allotment:
Protein: 4 calories/gram
Carbohydrates: 4 calories/gram
Fats: 9 calories/gram0
