Need advice on eating broth on liquid diet

I'm on a liquid diet to lose a bit of weight by mid April or so, and am starting today.

I bought a **** load of chicken broth/vegetable broth/beef broth last night for it, and I'm not sure if I actually should buy any chicken/vegetables/broth for this, or if I should just drink the liquid that came in the can

in the directions on the back of the can, it says:
In a large pot over medium-high heat, add oil and brown ground sausage. Add smoked sausage and cook until brown. Add red onion and saute until soft, about 3 minutes.

stir in tomatoes and green chilies, beef broth, and Creole Seasoning and bring to a boil.
stir in rice and bring to a boil

it also mentions rice in the directions as well.

So...Since I'm in a liquid diet, should I be adding all of this, or just drink the liquid that came in the can?

Help bros!

Doesn't sound healthy! Maybe ask whoever recommended it. If you are creating your own "diet" then what you do or do not do is entirely up to you. Nutrition wise you may wanna add the items since you definitely will need those calories and then some! But what do I know! I've lost 68.6 lbs and have not eliminated anything completely out of my diet.

Did a doctor put you on this diet???
If so, then I would ask him the question, and then I would just find a new doctor!!!!

I was on a liquid diet two weeks ago, cuz I had 118 stitches in my mouth.
There's no freaking way I would've done it otherwise. The only reason I did it, is cuz I had no choice!

But if your just doing this on your own, to lose weight, then that's just nuts. You can lose weight by eating foods. You just need to create a deficit. A liquid diet isn't necessary.

I would suggest you abort the liquid diet plan before you start and EAT FOOD!

Kind of cute and funny, enough for me to crack a smile anyway!

There were some early celebrations going on in London (UK) the weekend just gone (with people in green outfits).

Personally I'd add all that other stuff and make a nice hardy soup.

you can "liquefy" the sausage and onions so that it adheres to your diet, or just drink straight from the can. Personally, I would dilute the canned broth with more water so you lose even more weight. Better yet, just go with straight water, and take some laxatives too. Do you smoke or do cocaine? even better. Post your results, please !

IF your doctor put you on this diet, okay. If not, don't do it.

I'm on a liquid diet because I need to lose weight, not because of a surgery

however, I weight 185 lbs (5'7). So realistically, I'd want to get around 150 lbs or perhaps a few more. Shouldn't be too hard at all

before any of you freak out, check out what I'm consuming:

    water
Green tea, peppermint tea, ginger tea
    vegetable-based soup,
    vegetable juice
    Apple juice
    Gelatin
    cranberry juice
    grape juice
Fat free Vegetable broth, chicken broth, and beef brorh
    gatorade
    Yogurt-Banana-OJ Smoothie
    Whey Protein Shake

So what's going to happen when you eat real food again? More than likely you'll just put the weight back on. If this is not medically supervised then don't do it. You'll just end up paying for it later in lack of proper nutrients and a weight bounce back.
