I love salad, but the dressing is so fattening. I bought a Kraft Catalina Dressing. OMG!! It is fantastic. I put it on my chicken, salad, and even if I have a small baked potato. It is FANTASTIC.
I also bought a Kraft fat free Roka Blue Cheese. It is also FANTASTIC.

I agree on the Catalina. I am not crazy about the Ranch or the Blue Cheese ones but the Catalina very tasty.

  • I try just to stick to a squeeze of lemon or a splash of balsamic vinegar.......not very exciting but definitely fat free!

Try mixing fat free sour cream and salsa. It's tasty! Or do 1 part low fat Kraft Ranch dressing with two parts salsa! I'm a girl who likes her salads very wet, so I've had to be creative. At salad bars I put low fat cottage cheese, balsamic vinegar, and 1 Tbsp of real blue cheese dressing on my salads. Tasty! And I can rarely ever eat the full salad anyway, so I don't usually get a full Tbsp of the bad stuff!
  • i have a friend who has lost 60 lbs...way to go for anthony....but anyway back to my point...he told me a lil trick...instead of putting dressing on the salad just put it in a tiny lil bowl like 1 TBS of dressing...dip your fork in it then poke your salad...i've tried it and i still taste the dressing and use so much less...so the way he says it....you use less but you can still use the good stuff....i still use fat free but i like the taste better anyway....i know how wierd am i...lol...hope this help everyone with the dressing issue
  • I've always done the dipping thing!! It's great way to cut out wasteful calories...just always ask for the dressing on the side, and you'll be suprised how much less you use by dipping. if you had dumped the whole saucer of it on your salad you'd have eaten the whole thing!

and as for great low cal dressing, Hidden Valley's Light Ranch is amazing. So much less fat and calories than the regular, but honestly I think it still tastes the same! Other lighter ranch dressings I've found have been pretty gross, but this one is yumm!
  • I found that feta cheese --Athenos is not high in calories and i try to vary the ingredients like having different salads or adding mushrooms---you would be suprised by how filling it can be.
