Yesterday I wanted to try to run a mile in under nine minutes, my previous record being 9:07. I went out to the track and ran as fast as I could, and when I was finished it said I had done it in 7:56! I never imagined being able to run a mile in under eight minutes anytime soon! Of course the smooth, even track probably made it a bit easier, but I'm still proud!
