Smoky BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

2 400g tins chopped tomatoes
170g brown sugar
4tbsp Worcestershire sauce
6tbsp malt vinegar
100g diced onion
2tsp minced garlic
2tbsp ketchup
2tsp sriracha
4tbsp smoked paprika

Fry the onions and garlic in a saucepan on a high heat until soft (I use frozen diced onion, so I don't need any oil. If you use fresh onion, I suggest using a couple of sprays of oil spray)
Add everything else and stir well. Bring to the boil then simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and pour into a blender, and blend until smooth.

This recipe should make a litre of sauce, and I use 100ml per serving. I store it in a glass bottle, and it seems to keep for about a week (not that it often lasts that long!)

I feel like I need to share this with you all, as I could eat it with literally every meal, it's that delicious. Plus it's ridiculously easy to make, and very very low in fat! I realise it's quite high in sugar, but it does contain 80g tomatoes per portion (which is one of your 5 a day too!) and I can't think of a lower sugar substitute for brown sugar!
Hope you enjoy this - I know I do!
