I joined this site abut 5 months ago with the intention of losing 20lbs by graduation. I am female, 23 years, starting weight of 142lbs and 5'3. I lost about 10lbs, 1 pant size, (now a 5/or 27 E) and lots of inches! I have not reached my "goal weight" of 122lbs, but I think now that may have been unrealistic for me. I want to be fit and feel healthy, and cutting weight isn't making me feel that way.
So I switched to maintenance calories and am working out again!!! I signed up for the SweatyBetties 12 week "getting back into lifting" program. One measly full body workout Monday still has me sore today!!! IT FEELS AWESOME!!!
I'm excited to feel strong again, and figure with about 10lbs gone from my frame, after adding muscle I may not want to lose any more weight. Or I'll gain muscle and lose fat, either way works for me!!!
Just really excited about lifting and being really active again!!!

I feel You. :glasses: Recently reached my original goal, though I set a new on I'm starting the kettles - still eating my loosing calories, not logging the lifting - see where that gets me in a month.
Possibilities opening and the new "superpowers" feel GREAT!0 -
Have fun! When I got frustrated a few months back I went to maintence for a few months and oh my did my lifting progress! It is great seeing the progress you can make and it was so much easier when I was eating more. I since went back to eating at a deficit but can't wait to drop this last bit so I can get back into lifting higher weights again.0

Rock on sister......Good for you! Don't pay attention to the scale....Just be healthy and happy....work hard, eat right and the rest will fall into place. That is the best advice I was ever given and it is true.0 -
