So I am on my third day of logging. I started yoga Monday. Monday night and last night I woke up during the night several times for a few seconds and woke up before my alarm. I wonder if not eating so much junk has something to do with it. Usually I crash, sleep all night and don't want to get up in the morning. I will take this

That's great! Are you having less caffine too from coffee or soda etc? Could be a reason you sleep better and are ready for the morning. Keep up the logging and exercise, that's so great. Very happy for you!0

I am having the same amount of caffeine. I think I was just so out of control I was exhausted. Thank you for your reply!0

If you continue having sleep probs, a cup of camomile tea before bed and a little lavender oil on pillow (but keep away from eyes) are helpful - and calorie-free!
You might also find you wake in night to go to bathroom, as you lose a lot of water on the first week or so of a weight loss programme. This is because the first thing you use is your glycogen stores, which are bound up with a lot of water.0 -
Why do you view waking up several times during the night a good thing? That would drive me mad. I know not wanting to get up in the morning is not ideal but a broken night's sleep wouldn't be something I'd view as positive. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.0

I don't like waking up, but I was so tired of being so tired and sluggish0

Ah,I just thought from the title you thought waking up was 'good' so I was a bit confused. Good luck anyway, hopefully it'll balance out soon. I tend to feel sluggish in the morning myself, not much fun.0 -
Thanks! I don't think I worded it well. I probably shouldn't have posted before coffee lol!0

I used to eat myself to sleep. Used to wake up thirsty and bloated. Now I feel way better in the morning! Nothing is better than waking up hungry for breakfast0

less junk food and more exercise will always help you sleep better. Kudos to you for taking control of your health! Remember baby steps will keep you going and slow and steady wins the race !!!0

Me too delaroom! I was actually beginning to get hungry at bedtime.
Thank you herbertneneg!
I like "slow and steady"! I usually get frustrated when I don't see results. I know it took a long time to get here. I know it will take a long time to get the weight off.0
