I ate/drank like crap over the weekend and didn't exercise one second. I am not proud of this, but I made sure to log everything and everyday. What is most interesting to me is that I was only over by and avg of 290 calories each day, with Saturday being the worst day @ -720.

I realize that this isn't a GREAT thing as I just hit my -10lb mark. However, I am very encouraged that even on a total cheat weekend, I was still reasonable. Even when I cheat, I try to measure everything I can, pick healthy alternatives when available, try to eat the best I can before going out drinking.

It just feels good to know that even my bad eating days now are probably better than what I used to think was a "good" day before.

Right on...I always say to over-indulge from time to time will not kill you...LIFE HAPPENS...Just to make it so it doesn't become "the norm" is the real challenge...Great job keep it up and enjoy life...

Yep it's a life style change, but it looks like you reeled yourself in; maybe subconsciously.

MFP has taught me how to cheat successfully! Congrats. You will learn that if you overindulge, you'll just have to hit the pavement a little harder the next week. That's all. I'll take an extra 30 minutes of exercise for a fulfilling plate of nachos any day!

It is funny that now cheating is totally different! No more will I go eat out for three meals, have two starbucks and a candy bar in a day, haha! Now I "cheat" so differently!

    Way to go!!!!

I agree! My super awful day yesterday was about 600 over or 2600 cals, still less than potentially a former me bad day! (Side note, I am eating at maintenance - when I am eating at a loss my awful days still seem to be in that overage range, 500-600 ... which would really only = 100 over maintenance! I even gave myself a free pass on Thanksgiving, sure I totally overdid it, but when I logged it, I was just within maintenance!)

Very happy to hear people have had this happened as well. Things like that make me happier than seeing the scale move.
