A Work In Progress

Well, I'm not where I want to be...YET! But I know I can and will get there. My entire life has been one big ole yo-yo diet. Lose, gain, lose gain. I could blame by weight on carrying my two children, but the truth is, I weighed that amount before I ever got pregnant. In Feb 2013, I decided I needed a change after suffering from depression and being diagnosed with panic disorder. I started working out and eating better. I began running and actually found a love of it. I began to feel better physically AND mentally. I have since done 2 5K's, 1 8K and a 10K. I started at 209 and am not at 176. My initial goal was to loose 40 lbs (which would be 169) but I am aiming to be around 150. I am 5' 2" for those wondering. I am currently doing low carb which has restarted the weight loss for me. I remember when I first joined and I would come here for motivation. I always thought, "I wish that was me". Well, now it is! It can be you too!!!

Awesome work! :) Can't wait to see the pics!

*I don't know how to help with the pics but I have seen others mention about the img needing to be a certain way. Maybe try lower case and see if that helps?

Fab loss, you must be well chuffed, well done.

I'm the same height as you and starting at just under the same weight. I hope to have the same success as you have. Still early days for me, just starting out again, after not following MFP since September.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I started off counting calories and running. I did boot camp once a week for strength training and was dong videos at home when I could. I plateaued over the holidays but maintained, so I was happy. I think the biggest advice (which I still try to convince myself) is to not get discouraged if things don't happen as quickly as you'd like. It takes time to put the weight on and it takes time to get it off. When the scaled stopped moving for me, I tried low carb. I am finding this easy for me to stick with. What works for one person may not work for another, so I would encourage you to find what works for you! You will get there...best of luck!
