Hey everybody,

I own a lot of Leslie Sansone dvds, and I remember her saying on one of them to avoid doing a certain exercise move, but I can't remember which one. Do any of you know which dvd it's on, and most importantly, which exercise move to avoid?

Many thanks!

I've read about avoiding certain yoga poses, usually anything that involves inversion, but I don't know to what exercise she would have been referring. I only have a few of her workouts, mostly the walking ones.

How did all the female Homo erectus people know what movements to avoid while menstruating? We still managed to evolve without them knowing that, so I don't see how Homo sapiens women would be so delicate as to need to avoid any specific movements while menstruating.

I've played ice hockey, done judo and karate, and done heavy barbell squats deadlifts, played football, gone running, hiking, walked for miles and done all kinds of other activities while menstruating. Never had a problem. Never in my life have I heard of any movements to avoid while menstruating. (Just make sure you have decent sanitary protection, i.e. nothing that's going to come loose or fall out while doing vigorous exercise. :noway: ) So really, I don't believe that there is any exercise move you should avoid while menstruating.

Women who have medical issues related to their menstrual cycle e.g. endometriosis or others may need to take special precautions with exercise (or may not be able to exercise at all while menstruating) but that's because it's a medical issue.
