Can I substitute insanity for strength training?

Because I know Insanity has resistance workouts in there but I also know a lot of it is intense cardio. I really need to do strength training as I'm looking to shed the last few pounds and tummy flab. I also don't have the money to afford the entire insanity package right now so I decided to just work with one video: the cardio resistance insanity workout, which is uploaded on youtube. Would doing this one video every day substitute for strength training?

If you mean insanity power & resistance, then it's still essentially cardio. Find some bodyweight workouts if you don't have any weights and use insanity for cardio.0

Weight loss comes from diet.
Strength train to preserve muscle mass. As TT said, use bodyweight workouts if you don't have weights.
Also, I'm pretty sure you'd get bored very quickly doing the same video every day.0 -
Check out www.nerdfitness.com. They have a great program for body weight workouts. Insanity would not be a substitute for strength training.0
