Looking for some good recipes for protein shakes and smoothies. I drink this for lunch everyday. The one I am currently drinking includes banana, almond milk, greek yogurt, peanut butter, and spinach. Love the smoothie, just looking for some variety. I don't use protein powders. I have nothing against them, I just don't buy the product anymore. I would be up for trying it again if anyone has any great suggestions on a good powder that actually tastes good and mixes really really well in a smoothie!

Thank you!!

I love smoothies! One of my favorites is 1 c plain Greek yogurt, 1 c frozen berries, spinach, a little almond/coconut milk, and a touch of vanilla. If I'm in need of something a little sweeter, I might add a touch of stevia.

I have a protein shake a few days a week for breakfast or after a workout, and absolutely love them! Personally, I've been using Isofemme Vanilla for the past few years as I find that it mixes smoothly, doesn't have a bad taste, and is a good base for layering other flavours.

My smoothie base is pretty much always the same few ingredients -- protein powder, greek yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, and xantham gum -- and then I layer extra flavours accordingly. A couple of my favourites:

    Pumpkin pie smoothie:
    1 serving vanilla protein powder
    175g plain greek yogurt
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    .5 cup canned pumpkin
    ~1tsp pumpkin pie spice
    1 capful vanilla flavouring
    1/8 tsp xantham gum

    Chocolate smoothie:
    1 serving vanilla protein powder
    175g plain greek yogurt
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    5g cocoa powder
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp xantham gum

    Fruit smoothie:
    1 serving vanilla protein powder
    175g plain greek yogurt
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    70g frozen berries
    handful of spinach
    1/8 tsp xantham gum
