NO FAST FOOD 1 WEEK CHALLENGE- DAY 2!

"Save money! Lose weight!" Remember the mantra this week and drive PAST the drive-thru! Maybe it should be "Save money! Save your LIFE!"?

Grab snacks, pack lunches, plan dinner TODAY so when it is time to cook for you and/or your fam, you don't throw in the towel and order out!

Let us know if your in and any great ideas for fast, easy, healthy meals.

  • Got hard boiled eggs in a baggie ready to head to work with me along with a 25 cal hot choc mix to have this morn instead of coffee.

    Lunch is turkey breast cutlet I cooked up on Sunday night for the week...will top with a slice of provolone and salsa! Prob a yogurt to go with.

    Dinner....making tacos for the fam. Will have it on a plate, no tortilla myself.

    ZUMBA class tonight! What a day in store! :smooched:

    Sounds like a great lunch plan.

    It gets easy to pass up fast food. The only fast food I will eat is Wendy's. I have not been to a McDonalds in over a year. Funny part is they are still doing an increase in sales.

    You should get the mission low carb wheat tortillas.

  • I usually have a Lean Cuisine or a yogurt for Lunch, I never stop at Fast Fodd places, gives me heart burn!

    I gave up fast food in January of this year, and I don't miss it at all. You get to a point where the smell alone is enough to make you want to vomit. I truly think it's just a habit that you have to break because I quickly realized that I didn't really like the food that much anyway.

    I made mine in the crock pot last night :) I confess I snuck a bowl around 11:30 and had to adjust my diary but it was sooo worth it!

    pantry soup today - threw in whatever ingredients I could find last night!

    No fast food for me - I haven't eaten fast food since I can't remember....I just can't stomach it anymore....
  • I haven't touched fast food (McD's Wendys, Taco Bell, Harveys,) in almost 2 yrs. what gets to me is pizza. I can never have just one slice. but today I have two crockpots going. one with homemade chili, and the other with homemade baked beans. can't wait till they're done.

    I have to hit the shopping mall and promise NOT to hit the food court. NO food court, NO fast food :noway: :noway:
  • 3:00 and just getting lunch! First thing that popped in my head was to feed my "STARVING BODY" the quickest meal possible, then left work and drove the whole extra mile past the food chains to my house where my prepared turkey breast was waiting.

    Pleased so many members have already excluded fast-crap from their daily lives, but many of us need to "challenge" ourselves to slow down and plan, prepare, COOK. For THOSE members.....keep driving PAST the drive thru!
