Am I eating enough protein to see results?

I am 115 pounds and work out about 3-5 times a week. I mix up insanity workouts with some weight training at the gym. I am noticing small results in my arms/shoulders/back etc, but am lacking the results in my stomach and legs. I am not sure if I should be eating more protein to get better results. If so, how much protein should I be intaking on a daily basis without gaining more fat? Please help!

    I am about 188 right now and eat at least 150 g per day.

    What are your goals? What results are you looking for? Are you trying to lose weight?

    Adding body fat comes from eating at a surplus, it has nothing to do with eating excess protein unless that excess protein causes you to create a calorie surplus.

    Pick a goal then strive towards it, ie if you want to gain muscle stop with insanity
  • I want to maintain my current weight more or less. I am more interested in building lean muscle especially my stomach and legs.

    Just off hand at that weight I would say at least 80-90g. It takes time for muscle to grow. Your workouts might be targeting the other muscle groups harder which is why they are growing more. If you continue to not see result you might want to start incorporating leg and ab workouts that are specifically targeting just those areas. Do some calf raises, squats, and for abs, crunches, bicycles, ect. I don't know what your workouts consist of but those movements are a good place to start if you aren't doing them.

    The topic of the thread is "Am I eating enough protein to see results?" and you don't say how much protein you're eating. Open your diary so we can see what you're eating, and also be more specific with your workout routine (how long, what exercises, etc.).

    And this. Doing Insanity is not going to build muscle.

    Hypertrophy of the abdominals is pretty tough, but for your legs and the rest of your body, i'd just get a legit lifting program, quit with so much cardio and eat at a moderate surplus
