VICES....

everyone has them ,these darn habits/vices, but what I would like to know is what to do in place of these things I would like to quit, alright so ive let go of meat/dairy/sweets/laziness/drinking...ect.. But the only vice I have left is using my vapor cigg (e-cigg) and I knoooow nicotine is bad for you and im not really a habit forming person but I believe I just do it because im bored, need a break from my desk, so ill go to the break room and vape for a min or so... or I have a looong drive home and puff puff, Im 99% sure its out of boredome not habit, I'm just curious what do you do when youre bored or driving or just in general how are you trying to eliminate your vices..everyone has one, so c'mon share!!!!! <3:)

I'm in the same boat as you. I love love love my e-cig. I know it is better for me to smoke that instead of a regular cigarette but when I try to quit the e-cig, I end up over eating instead.

I'd let go of the vapor cigg and go back to meat and a glass of wine. I enjoy a nice merlot. My wife loves the chocolate, though.

Pastries! Hold the chips, chocolate, ice cream, burgers and fries - give me pastries! In the fall, I was living in a place that considers a pastry and a cappuccino an acceptable breakfast. I was in heaven. And I didn't even gain weight in 4 months of this! Unfortunately, it's back to reality and North America for me but the pastry craving is not going away. They don't even taste that good! Finding decent croissants here is a struggle. Yet this continues to be the food that I will break my diet for and stop counting and not even care.

Oh alcohol, how I hate yet love you! A few drinks on the weekend, one after work a couple days a week, and wham! I'm over my calorie goal! A few beers at the golf course....how do you golf without drinking? Seriously, I am not an alcoholic, but the little that I do drink it, I can feel it just adding lbs instantly! Need to learn to exercise when stressed after work or balance my drinks with food on weekend get together.

these are all such different vices for everyone! I guess we all have ours, I feel the same way as another said if I quit my e-cig I think ill revert to eating, its just the hand to mouth habit! I need to work on quitting, but I suppose theres worse vices than our small ones :)
If they would just legalize marijuana here(texas) which will NEVER happen lol that would be my one and only vice and I could put down that e-cig ;)

Desserts. I can go a year without having, or missing, bread, pasta, pizza, rice, fried foods, or most of the other common food vices. I have complete control with almost all foods.

But I'm a sucker for sweets. So much. I've given them up before, and even moved beyond cravings, but always came back. I've probably gained, and lost, the equivalent of hundreds of pounds thanks to a serious sweets problem. I'm MUCH better now, though. I've just finally learned to accept that my definition of moderation isn't having a little each day. No, it's having them infrequently, but indulging till my heart's content when I do. So it's perfectly fine if I breeze through a whole pack of sandwich cookies, or a half gallon of ice cream in a weekend, as long as it's only from time to time.

I must give up the red wine! Everytime I go a week or two without, I feel like the weight falls off!
