Hi!! I'm a college student i'm 5'1 and 130 pounds.
I've put on a few extra pound which has made me feel pretty down about myself.
I eat healty and exercise when i really get into it, but when i fall off the wagon..i really fall off. And thats the point that i'm at now.
I have a bad habit of being a closet eatter which destroys all progess i've made then i feel defeated.
My friends and family dont really know what i'm going through.
They always show their love and support through food. I'm sort of hoping that maybe this will give me the support system i need to help me get through and reach my goal to lose weight and be HAPPY!!!
..oh p.s does pilates really work or do you already have to be skinny to do it?

Every Saturdays i'm going to weigh-in
My goal weight 108
My current 130

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. You really are not overweight by that much. Your healthy weight range for being 5'1" is anywhere between 100-132 lbs. As long as you're within that range you are not considered as being overweight from a medical standpoint. Good luck to you. It should be very easy for you to lose using this program. I highly recommend it. Feel free to add me as a friend for additonal support. Happy Holidays!
  • I agree - don't be so hard on yourself. We all go through these phases in life. I am your height and used to be 125lb 5 years ago when I got married. My husband and I then gained a lot of weight and are now trying to take it off together. I am currenty 179 and have a long way to go, so I am right there with you!

And, yes Pilates works and it is the best workout I have ever done. I recent;y started it again, combined with power yoga and rebounding and have lost 5 pounds in two weeks - and trust me, I am not thin right now! You may see your measurements go up at first while you are building your strength, but it will come down as that muscle starts burning your fat for you! Try it and see how you like it. If you have an iPhone, SELF has a wonderful app for this!

    Good luck and best wishes!
