Nutrabullets: are they they great?

Really, I'd love to know. I adore smoothies and think I may buy a nutribullet, but if it's all hype I'd like to know before I put the money down. Does anyone have one? How do you like it? What makes it different from a blender?

I have one and love it. It definitely is worth the money.
Just the convenience of easy cleaning give it a plus in my books.

It doesn't grind seeds (like from berries) as well as they advertise though.

I've also never really used a blender for Smoothies I just always used magic bullet and nuritibullet. So its possible that I'm a bit biased here.

    Overall I give it a 4 star :)

I have a ninja, similar to nutribullet and absolute LOVE IT!

I say definitely invest in the nutribullet. I use my ninja almost everyday. I also use it to make salad dressings as it chops and blends so excellent.

    Favorite kitchen gadget. lol

I've been using one for two years now and absolutely love it. I start every morning with blueberries, spinach, kale, protein powder, cinnamon, 1/2 banana, and strawberries - fill 1/2 way with water and that's it. Great way to begin the day!!! You'll love it.

The only way I could make my nutribullet purchase better would have been to have bought TWO!! I LOVE this thing! I use it EVERY day for morning smoothies and at times for healthy ice cream, fruit smoothies and the occasional moonshine and frozen banana cocktail. ;)

One major thing is RESPECT the max line. It puts a lot of strain on the motor and the bearing in the blade if you overfill it. I wound up replacing a blade within a year. My fault and not a product defect (don't tell the nutribullet people though, I got a new on warranty).

Easy cleanup. rinse, drop of soap, hot water, run it for about a minute, rinse out again, dish drainer....DONE! A thorough washing about once a week. (OK..I'm a dude, so sue me).

    Worth every penny.

Love it!!! Use mine every day, so easy to clean, blends really well - endless smoothie options. Used it a few times to blend sauces for cooking too. Helps that it's looks nice & doesn't take up too much space as well.

I've been wondering about them a bit, but I work the returns counter at Walmart and I see a lot of them being returned, with comments such as "I didn't like it," or "It was too complicated", or "It doesn't work very well". So I was thinking they weren't so great. Maybe I'll look into them again.

I can imagine folk returning them, as a bit of a short lived fad. First thing I made was a full on green smoothie, which was very thick & very hard to drink - I wondered if i had made a bad purchase. But I love fruit & veg & so took the time to experiment with it and now I love it. It couldn't be easier to use.

I just have my handi chopper or blender do double duty depending on the size of the job, figure it does about the same as a nutribullet minus seventy bucks of damage to the wallet.

i was contemplating on upgrading my juicer and a friend introduced me to the Nutribullet and I have never looked back. I am not a lover of Thick juices or shakes, so for some things like pineapple I may juice and then add to the other ingredients in the nutribullet or I will add plenty of water to make it a thinner consistency. only one bad point and that it can be hard to separate the cup from the base as there is no handle/grip, but other than that its a great appliance

I loveeeee my Nutrabullet and I use it everyday for my morning green smoothie and sometimes I use it to make a protein shake as well. I have a Ninja too which I use for making sorbets, fruit smoothies and sauces like tzatziki...I find it doesn't breakdown the fibers in the veggies that well.

I like that it doesn't take up much space on kitchen counter and the clean up is easy.

You do need to be mindful about not overfilling the cup and not running it too long. I've watched a lot of Youtube videos and I've seen people stuff things to the very top, use too much liquid or keep it running for several minutes.

If your drink is too thick, add more water or whatever liquid you are using after you are done blending it to make it thinner.

Lastly I find adding pineapple, pineapple juice or fresh lemon juice really helps to mask the greeny taste. (I rotate a lot of bitter greens like kale, beet greens and dandelion greens).
