weight gain during period???

anyone else suddently see a few pounds bounce back on???

    Yup, don't worry, totes normal. Weight loss isn't linear - some days you'll go up, some days you'll go down, but as long as the overall trend is down, you're golden.

    Yes, yes yes. This is so normal so don't worry. I always gain about 4lbs on the first day of my period then it levels out again :)

    I always gain at least two pounds during my period, and sometimes a lot more depending on the extent to which I yield to the monster cravings for carbohydrates and sodium-rich foods. It's perfectly normal and the weight does go away most of the time (it's mostly water), but that doesn't mean it's not frustrating!

    One thing that seems to help me is to keep up with exercise, even if it's just gentle stuff. It's usually the last thing I want to do during period days, but I'm always glad afterwards because it really helps with cramps and cravings. I still gain a bit of water weight no matter what, but the exercise really helps me feel better.

    haha i'm sure the few cheeky G&Ts i had last night probably didn't help - at least i stayed away from the crisps though! :blushing:
