Hi! I'm Gabrielle.
I'm a 25 year old recent nursing school graduate trying to take off the extra weight I gained in these last 5 years of college. I've tried to lose weight many times before and I can usually lose about 5lbs but then is comes back on and I can never seem to keep it off. So I'm taking this one step at a time- planning one month in advance and then adjusting for the next. I'm going to aim for:
--> 45 mins Cardio 6 Days/ Week (from Hiking outside or Tracy Anderson's Dance Cardio Video, Brazil Butt Cardio Video, and Zumba Cardio Videos inside) -I have a lot of videos,
--> 45 mins Bar work (from The Bar Method) 5 Days/ Week -I feel the burn so much with these!!!! Tonight my super fit bf did them with me for the first time and he was dying too.
--> And Muscle toning with Tracy Anderson's Mat workout 5 Days/ Week (mainly her abs and arms because I get so much lower body with the Bar Method)
December:
My goal for December is to make it through the holidays and stay on track. It's weird how I was thinking that "oh, i need to lose weight because i'll add pounds during the holidays" . I suddenly realized I was planning to GAIN weight, lol. I don't have to EXPECT to gain weight - I should just keep up my workouts- eat 5 times a day (even on Christmas- since I'll have eaten smaller meals I won't indulge too much at the main family meal). Wish me luck.
I love this site! I've never tracked my calories before but it seems pretty easy to do here and I think it will help a lot and the community atmosphere seems very welcoming.

Welcome! I am in the same boat as you. I lose a few pounds and then gain it back and am working on trying to break that cycle. Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me as a friend if you would like0
