One million dollars!!!
In reality, I make enough to be comfortable.0 -
in my area, you can get by decently enough at $50k a year0
-
More than what I'm making at the moment lol. It's hard to say because expectations vs reality don't usually align
ETA: I'm in my 20s and pretty much just starting out in the "real world" lol0 -
I guess it depends on your location.
If you live in London you need to earn a LOT more than you do in North Yorkshire to achieve the same standard of living.
You could live on 20-25k comfortably here on the Yorkshire coast but you would not be able to buy a property with that income. You need an income of 30k+ to buy a property here. Triple/quadruple that for London.0 -
You should be making at least $1,000 per year of your age annually ... if you're not, go back to school!
(Seriously.)0 -
I think wages vary too much dependent on where you work and also what field you work in to judge by age alone.
But as a 20 year old, I think £18-25K is a good starting point. (Based on my personal experience/situation.)0 -
in mid to late 20's a good income is 75-100K / year..
Focus on getting out of debt ASAP.. then start maxing out RRSP's after that
I am able to max out RRSPs each year and have more money than I can spend and everything I want.. be smart and you will be golden!0 -
Somewhere between 35K - infiinite would be fine. I don't chase the money if I have all my necessities.0
-
I don't think age has much to do with it. I was making 3 times as much as I am now, 15 years later.0
-
Late 30s and think $175K is a decent income.0

Salary has a marginal diminishing returns component to it - so t only increases at a decreasing rate.0 -

Whatever it takes to buy two cases of good beer a day, and still not be kicked out of your apartment or have your electric turned off.0

Before I became a SAHM I was making roughly 283k a year, typical salary of someone my age in my area is around 35k, I would consider decent to be around 50k. I'm in my mid twenties.0

Well I was more than just an engineer, but when I get into details people usually get confused.0 -

My guess is you were working on isotope separation of the 238 while forcing gaseous uranium hexafluoride (hex) through semi-permeable membranes0 -

Good income for my age(I'm 21) is pretty high for men because our trades are booming here. Many guys my age are making $150,000 a year or more because they're working in the oilfield. I'm a young professional woman who is not willing to get dirty. Lol. I still make a lot more than what would be considered a "good" income for the average 21-year-old woman, though(and I'd peg good income for my age at being about $40,000). And my partner is a journeyman electrician, so... we do all right.0

Education matters. BS Accounting, CPA, MBA - by 50 making 8x my age in corporate america. I try to tell kids that education matters but they don't realize just how much.
Went to undergrad for free (dad worked in university maintenance), MBA paid by the company.0 -
