I have come back to MFP after about nine months leave. I love people and meeting new people is especially nice. Last time, which was my first time to try MFP, I kept comparing myself to my friends. I always felt I was not quite good enough. My friends were unbelievably supportive. I treasure the encouragement they gave me. For the first month or so I will be the only one to see my post. When I feel I can share without judging myself I will open my post to friends.
I have never told anyone my weight as I am ashamed of myself. I believe it will be good for me to do so here. I am 5' 2" and weigh 245.2. I want to lose 100 pounds. The thought of that leaves me feeling hopeless. I am going to try 10% of body weight at a time. My first goal is to lose 25 pounds.
Thank you for reading this. All responses will be welcome. Who knows? I may open up to friends faster than I think I will.

First of all, you should never feel a shame or hopeless about yourself. Secondly, stop beating yourself up. If you take this commitment serious then you will lose the weight. You have already set your first realistic goal which to lose 10% of your body weight. It’s a great starting point.0

stop comparing yourself to others. instead, compare yourself to who you were a day ago or a week ago. diet will be key to your transformation. track and weigh all your food, even if you have bad days. it seems like you had/have a great support system. LET THEM HELP. your journey will be that much easier. good luck!0
