Is my allowance correct?!

Hi all
I'm back in the zone of MFP and think I will stick at it but I keep seeing posts where people say you shouldn't be eating any less than 1200 a day etc.. When entering my details, MFP gives me a 1200 daily goal. Is this enough? Sometimes it can be disheartening when I go over ( and if anyone looks at my diary please don't judge my Saturdays lol they're my day off but at least I'm still being honest with myself by logging everything) which is why I'm wondering if my goal is correct... I've ate 'properly' and logged for two full weeks now & lost 6lb but sticking to MFP goals I should have only lost 2! Not that I'm complaining, of course but wondering if my daily cal intake should be a bit higher?

5ft 4"
SW 156lbs CW 145lbs GW 126lbs
Age 26
Activity: Desk job, 1 Body Pump class a week, 1 weight session & 2 x 30min jogs

With 19 lb. to go, set your goal to .5 lb. per week, which is more than 1,200 calories.
