I'm thinking about getting one and I was curious will it show me how many calories I burned at a certain time or just what I burned the whole day? What I mean is lets say I workout on the elliptical from 12 to 1 pm would I be able to go back and see how many calories I burned during that exercise? This is one of the things I disliked about my Fitbit Zip. It was easy to do on my Bodymedia Fit armband but I don't want to use that anymore (it's uncomfortable, not waterproof and I don't want people to see it when it's warm outside and I have short sleeves or going sleeveless.

Yes if you use a HRM strap during your exercise. Plus the Vivofit gives a net calorie count for your exercise in your daily calorie total and a gross calorie for each activity.

The HRM strap will make your calorie count much more accurate during steady cardio.
