I've been around here for a year and change now and I'm no spring chicken in years....

So I pretty surprised all of a sudden I've grown to appreciate a really nice back. Big ups to the men who have done great work, but the woman with thier back pics here are frick'n amazing!

I'm sure I'm not the only one. What have you grown to appreciate more since you've been here?

Sanity and common sense. Not nearly as common as I had thought.

Haven't been doing this long enough to see a physical change but have been jogging for about 4 months and I TOTALLY appreciate that I can do four miles now and not be crawling at the end.

My serious answer agrees with both of these. Also, I've found a lot of happiness in general since being here

Logging my diet was not new to me. But MFP has encouraged me to keep it up.... I've logged something like 45 days in a row. I thank my MFP friends for the support. Other than that, it's encouraged me along with research I've read to watch my overall sugar intake.

+1, but also appreciating the work that goes into revealing those abs (and other beautiful body parts).

I was always intimidated by the weights at the gym. The women here have encouraged me to go for it. I asked the morning crew a few questions and they were more than happy to help. I love lifting now. I also like the confidence it has given me. I can walk into any gym and feel confident that I'm doing it correctly with the proper form.

Yeah for sure. I've learned a lot about random little things from here it's great. I'm going to make my own Quest bars in the next few days when I get the main ingredient in the mail tomorrow for example.

A bunch of stuff! Quickly, off the top of my head:

    1. The importance of eating between your BMR and TDEE for weight loss and how to get those two figures.
    2. Use a digital food scale and HRM!
    3. The benefits of strength training despite that you cannot increase LBM significantly while eating at a caloric deficit.
    4. Exactly how adaptive thermogenesis works.
