How accurate is the dreaded pie chat??

I always thought I had a very carb heavy diet, but after logging for a few weeks my pie chart is looking almost spot on!
My average consumption is 53% carbs, 29% fats, 18% proteins.
Is this a good balance? I would've though that was considered carb heavy, but it's only a couple of % of off MFPs goals.

    Hi

My personal experience, the MFP is as accurate as your input ( ingested food measurement and burned calories activity). This is like a bank, you take what you deposit.

You have to eat at a deficit in order to lose body weight ( calories ingested less than calories burned). I believe if you are making steady progress towards your body weight targets, then your macros are alright for you. If not, then a little tweak is in order.

Hmmm protiens are quite low...my marcros are set at 45c/30p/25f per my BF%...

I hardly ever reach my carbs as I concentrate on protiens.

Tonight my app said I was like 362 calories over my weekly net goal, yet I calculated it from the reports bit on my laptop and I worked it out as being about 378.

Kinda of hard to tell you without knowing what your fitness goals are.

I'm just aiming to lose at the moment. I'm currently 217 and my goal weight is 130.
I was considering really trying to lower my carbs and up protein.
