This is how mine is labeled:
    Breakfast
    2nd Breakfast
    Elevenses
    Luncheon
    Afternoon Tea
    Dinnner & Supper

Forgot to add, since I work weird hours, I generally just track over a 24 hr period.

This is what I need, lol. I never eat after dinner, pretty much. Going to change it...

    shakes - Carnivore - Complex/wholesome - tasty junk - general - Supps

this works best for me. all my crazy meal patterns are easier to access and save for future use.

This is a great idea! Looks like your Recent list would have closer access to each item.

I have 6 - breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, evening snack.

This is what I have finally settled on. I think I changed it about 20 times.

    I have mine set as

    12am - 4am
    4am - 8am
    8am - 12p
    12p - 4p
    4p - 8p
    8p - 12am

I did this in part because my work schedule is kinda odd and I will sleep late, eat breakfast at 10a and then may or may not eat lunch at work. I also wanted to see when I eat the most often, when I'm having midnight snacks etc.

Although I will fudge my time by a few minutes on occasion. If I start eating dinner at 3:45, I might record it in the 4 slot.

    I have....
    4 am - 8 am
    8 am - 12 pm
    12 pm - 4 pm
    4 pm - 8 pm
    After hours (Lets hope not)

My schedule of sleep is all over the place so I never know which time I'm starting my day
I have after hours because I don't eat after 8 because those were my times that I would binge all night long, so I set it up in a way so I could tell myself that no, I've eaten for the day I cant go back and binge.

Mine has both labels and time...

    Breakfast (7:15-7:30)
    Snack (9:30-10)
    Lunch (12:00-12:30)
    Post workout snack (2:30)
    Snack (4:30)
    Dinner (7:00-7:30)

I'm hypoglycemic and need to eat every few hours to keep my BS normal and also keep my metabolism going since I also have a low functioning thyroid.

I did change mine to times but changed it back again when I realised that whenever I looked at my friend's diarys that it applied my headers to their entries which made things pretty meaningless.

That's odd, I see the titles that they use for their meals.

Does it matter? (Legitimate question; not being snarky.)

I don't really keep the conventional time frame for breakfast, lunch and dinner because of my night owl ways. Consequently, my 'breakfast' usually falls between 2-3 p.m., 'lunch,' which is when most people normally have 'dinner' is between 5:30-7 p.m. or so and then MY dinner falls between 1-2:30 a.m. Plus, I never know when I'll be hungry for a snack. So I've just named my categories with generic terms - First Meal, Second Meal, Third Meal, Snacks and Beverages.
