Monday NSV!

I don't know about you, but a Monday NSV is pretty exciting for me! Monday's are definitely NOT my favorite day of the week so when I have an NSV, it makes that day so much better!
My husband and I have been working out MWF mornings together for a couple of weeks now and I make us a smoothie after every one. I decided today was the day I was going to graduate my husband to green smoothies. He's never been a big veggie fan & even though I've converted him on most things, a green smoothie just doesn't appeal to him.
Guess what?! He drank every last bit of it! Granted, the color was masked by blueberries, but one step at a time right!? Spinach, blueberries, strawberries & a banana. Scrumptious! :happy:

Moved up to big-boy plates in the barbell squat. I was pretty happy about that.0

Yay logging, big-boy plates & sore muscles!!!!! Definitely reasons to enjoy Monday instead of dread it and wish for it to be over!
I've found instead of wishing my days away, I'm trying to plan to make them better so they are more enjoyable. :drinker:0 -
Took my Level 1 Krav Maga class again after a long Hiatus and a insanely intense MixFit where I did 2, yes TWO pull ups.... then had to static hold that for EVER.. ok 10 or so seconds likely more like 5
Stronger, faster, leaner every day!!!!0 -
I'm going to a Zumba class for an hour this evening. I haven't been able to go for a couple weeks so I'm really looking forward to it!0

Finally managed my 5x5 sets of 27.5kg overhead press...I've been stuck on this weight for nearly 2 weeks but today I completed them with great form. Proof I'm getting stronger0

Stiff, sore and tired this morning from cleaning the garage all w/e - still did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes of core work to start the day!0

I tried on one of my fave pair of jeans that I havent fit into in about 8 years and they fit!! Have a slight muffin top but a few more weeks and they will be a perfect fit.... few more weeks on top of that and they will be too big!!0

This thread has made my day! It's amazing to see so many amazing NSV's on a Monday.
LvLite - I'm SO jealous! I haven't found anywhere near me that offers Krav Maga & I would /love/ to try it! Congrats on that and your 2 pull-ups!!! I'd not make it through 1 or 1sec of a static hold so that's amazing!
Creiddylad - Ah, Zumba. So close to my heart, so horrible for my back. I love Zumba and hope that the hour tonight ends your Monday on the highest of highs!

ccrdragon - Persistence and consistency will get you through! Congrats for sticking to your routine even though you were sore from cleaning this weekend!

sargessexyone - I feel like, deep down, even if no one ever says it, that's one thing every person wants. To inspire someone close to you. I can say that's definitely what I love to hear.

caught a glimpse of myself in a window and could see a big difference. i had to hook my bra on the tightest setting today. bra was too small a few months ago. chin and neck visibly shrinking.everyday i notice some kind of nsv.0

I am finally putting my Zumba teaching license to use and listening to music/breaking down routines I can use to teach a song or two in the class I go to, or even be a sub when instructors are absent. It took me about nine months to come around, but I now feel ready to start learning. I'm also slowly starting to learn what I need to do to eat healthy and keep the weight coming off.0

While I was cooking dinner, my boyfriend mentioned that he could see that I've trimmed down a little and that my hard work is starting to pay off It was great to hear because I've been losing a few inches but not many pounds and was getting frustrated.0

My khaki jeans were looser today than they were the last time I wore them.0

Mine was knowing that I would be joining a friend for beer/wine/food in the evening, and so getting up super-early and going for a long jog before work. Stayed on target and had a great time!0
